Finding Purpose in the Age of Ai

In the age of AI, finding a sense of purpose and identity can feel more nebulous than ever. The creative industry has been completely disrupted, and creatives, communities, and companies aren’t sure how to move forward. This event will serve as a way to come together, rediscover a sense of curiosity, and create community. We’re all going through this together, so the only way we can make it through is together. We’ll start out by watching two short films, followed by a short presentation, a journaling exercise, and then a group discussion.

ABOUT THE TEACHING ARTIST
Tabitha Swanson is a NYC-based AI consultant, creative technologist, artist, and founder of SEEK/FIND, a technology and purpose-driven community initiative and podcast.

She is currently finishing a Global Thought MA at Columbia University with a focus on tech policy and interning at the UN. Her personal artistic practice is one of exploration, often composing questions rather than answers, and trying to faintly touch the unseen edges of human existence. Much of her practice revolves around exploring thresholds, tension, hauntology, echos, and theology. Select Exhibitions/Art Shows: Miami Art Basel, Fotografiska, Transmediale, and the Venice Film Festival.

Select Clients: Highsnobiety, Nike, Adidas, Vogue Germany, Reebok, Esprit, Jägermeister, Zalando, Fotografiska, Lenovo, Ableton, H&M, and Highsnobiety.
