TIME: 6:00 PM - 8:00 PM EDT

ABOUT THE WORKSHOP:
This is a workshop for the AI-curious. Designed to foster a supportive environment, this session is perfect for individuals looking to understand and integrate AI tools into their creative practices and beyond. It’s not just a session about what AI tools exist, but also a talking circle of ways to critically leverage these technologies authentically in our work. The session will be interactive, with personal examples from Lineadeluz and the audience, hands-on activities, brainstorming sessions and AI tools/resources for ready for adoption.

☆ No prior experience necessary ☆ - General knowledge of Ai is helpful but curiosity, willingness to learn, and questions are all you need!

ABOUT THE TEACHING ARTIST:
Lineadeluz, a transdisciplinary creatrix, is captivated by the choreographies of everyday life as sites of ritualized power, viewing creativity as a potent form of dissent. Their belief in art as a method to cultivate intuition and confidence, aligning individuals with the rich tapestry of present realities, underscores their artistic praxis. Centering their art-as-platform on the pedagogical potential of non-linear learning through the body-as-interface, Lineadeluz sees art as a versatile vessel for both learning and sharing knowledge. Raised in Compton, CA, in a Mexican immigrant household, they are first-generation Latinx genderqueer who has lived between the United States and México for the past decade. As a transmigrant, Lineadeluz has amassed a wealth of experiences, documentation, and reflections on the complexities of bicultural, bilingual, and binational existence, which profoundly shape their roles as an artist, educator, and activist.

Our programs are supported, in part, by public funds from the New York City Department of Cultural Affairs in partnership with the City Council.
