POWER UP is an opportunity for teens to explore what it means to hone community, creativity, and literacy in a world increasingly digital. Addressed to 16-25-year-olds interested in investigating how we start to hack our everyday tools to build new worlds, make art, become critical thinkers, and collaborate with peers.
This ✨FREE ✨ week of programming at POWRPLNT and Pioneer Works in Brooklyn, NY will include courses that include the evolution and an introduction to DJing, nightlife as a form of radical expression, using AR to design monuments that represent our concerns with the present, creating queer utopia using zines, and conjuring digital spirits. These courses will be taught by an amazing line-up of teachers including Cy X, HD, Pauli Cakes, Taehee Whang, and Umber Majeed.
